Burmese jade means jadeite from the mines of northern Myanmar, the source of nearly all fine jadeite. It is the harder of the two jade minerals — 6.5 to 7.0 on the Mohs scale against nephrite's 6.0 to 6.5 — and takes a glassier polish. Type A only here: no bleaching, no resin, no dye.
