Duet — Green Jade Ring

Sale priceS$195.00 Regular priceS$265.00

A ring with two stones is a portrait of two people. Here the two are Hetian nephrite, one green, one white. Each holds its color evenly. They face each other across an open band, gold over silver. Neither outshines the other. It opens to fit, and settles in for the long run. Two voices, one ring.

  • Jade: green and white Hetian nephrite, uniform in color, natural and untreated, from Russia
  • Material: gold-plated sterling silver 925
  • Dimensions: 6.8 × 6.5 mm stones, 2 mm band, 2.6 g, adjustable
Sourcing

Every piece of Zeneuf jade can be traced. Each one is logged under a reference number, tied to a record of where it came from: the artisan who carved it, the variety of jade, how it was treated, and where it was mined. Nothing leaves us sold as simply "jade," and nothing is described on a guess. If you ever want to know more about the piece in your hands, send us your order number and we'll answer from its record.

Care

Jade is one of the toughest stones in common wear, made to be worn every day and kept for years. It asks for very little: take it off before the shower, swimming, sport, or cleaning, and put on perfume and lotion before your jewelry, not after. To clean it, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Skip ultrasonic cleaners and jewelry dips. Keep it in its pouch, apart from other pieces, so harder stones can't scratch it.

The jade

Genuine green and white Hetian nephrite

Two stones of Hetian nephrite jade from Russia face each other across the band: one green, one white. Each holds its color evenly, and both are semi-translucent with the soft waxy glow that fine nephrite has and glass does not. They were chosen as a pair, so the two tones sit in balance. Natural and untreated: no dye, no resin, no bleach. Set on an open band of gilded sterling silver.

Design

Two smooth stones, worn for protection

A smooth, uncarved jade dome is an old protective form: the rounded stone stands for the sky over the wearer, and an edgeless stone is one that stays on. Two domes on one ring make the wish mutual, two people looking out for each other. It is worn for protection, and given as a couple's ring, a promise ring, or a reminder of the two sides of one life, work and home, past and future. Its benefit is balance, carried on the hand.

Style & Size

Modern jade ring for the everyday hand

Two small stones face each other across an open band, a modern take on the toi-et-moi ring. Each 6.8 × 6.5 mm stone is a small point of color between the knuckles, easy to wear beside other rings. Wear it on the ring finger with a white tee, or beside a thin gold band.
